Get Ready. Teresa's Favorite.

Well, like Heidi, I really dont have a favorite aunt or uncle... there were too many :) and alot of them I never got to see very much.
My Aunt Maite and Aunt Kristi- they had Danielle and Nickell, so I prefered to hang out with their kids.
I don't remember a whole lot about Aunt Jeny when I was a kid, but I have really enjoyed finding out through the computer that her personality and sense of humor are much to my liking :)
I always thought Aunt Amy was cool because she wasn't shy and always said exactly what she felt. She is the one out of the older group that i remember hanging out with the most and i loved when she visited us. (for me the older group is everyone except heidi, holly and matt)
Uncle Dave was awesome because he was the only uncle type figure (as I always thought of Uncle Matt as the cool older brother).
I regret to say I dont remember many specific activities with Aunt Mindy, but I do remember she was always very nice to me. She was always so happy.
My Aunt Amelia I thought was the coolest. She lived in Spain and pretty much did whatever she wanted. I wanted to be like her when I grew up.
Aunt Heidi and Aunt Holly I always thought of as the big sisters that I wish I had. They were the most fun to hang out with. They were both so cool in such opposite ways that they were too much coolness for one person (in my childhood mind, that's why I thought God made them twins- because 1 person couldn't be as awesome as them). I always looked forward to hanging out with them.
I also reguarded Uncle Matt as a part time sibling too. I always thought he was neat and still hold him on the "bigger sibling pedestal of awesomeness". :)
I guess if I had to pick favorites, it would have to be Aunts Heidi and Holly, merely because they are the ones I spent the most time with and because of their close age. They are the ones I have the most memories of like the hot tub bubble fights and Lost One and picking on JD because his feet hurt. :)

Family Pictures

Also, please let me know if your family will be wanting to take advantage of the family picture incentive as stated in a previous FR 2010 post. Just so I know how many to plan on! Thanks!
There's quite a bit new. Don't miss anything!

Heidi's Favorite

I don't think I have a favorite aunt or uncle. I'm not terribly close to any of them. I do have to say that Aunt Julie has never missed a birthday, and I have always been appreciative and grateful for her thoughtfulness. She is amazing. As a child, I loved playing at my Aunt Lynn's house and thought she was a great cook. I just didn't like her cat at all. My uncles are all a little...well, different. They all have that Lauritzen sense of humor that you have to be a Lauritzen to understand, but I still don't really get it. Hopefully they don't look at this blog too much! I love you, all my uncles! The uncles on my mom's side I just really don't know very well. I really look forward to hearing how Nickell and Tere will respond to this one! Good luck, you guys.

FR 2010

Do you remember? We have a family reunion coming up!

For meals we have decided that each one of the kids will be in charge of preparing one meal. Since we will have three days, that's three meals a day and that equals....NINE! How perfect is that!

So this is what I need you to do:

Comment with what meal you would like to be in charge of and on what day.
For example:
Kristi is going to do Lunch on Day 1. (got it?)

Then, decide what you are going to prepare and get the grocery list to me. Obviously for many reasons we want to keep things as simple as possible as to not take away from having fun family stuff happen!

Also, I know there are some of you that still need to send money to Dad, please do so asap! Thanks!

(Also, side note, there will be a link on the side starting today named FR 2010. If you click on it, it will bring up every post on this blog that talks about FR 2010)

New question of the week:

Tell about your favorite aunt or uncle.
I guess my favorite was Aunt Nyta Farrer. After her husband died, the family moved to Grandma's house where I was living at the time because my Dad was on his mission. Her children are like my brothers and sisters. We lived by her all my life until we moved to Virginia. She was kind of like my second mother. I also liked my Uncle Herman who was from Blackfoot. He was fun to visit. He was an inventor and had many fun things to do in his yard. (like a horse exercizer that had seats attached to it like a merry-go-round.)
