Dave and Tricia' Kids

I know Dave is never going to sit down and do this so I figured I better take a shot at it. He's just not one to really write anything, reading is bad enough. :)

Courtney is our oldest and she is 12 but turns 13 in less than a month. She is my peacemaker in the home. She doesn't like for anyone to be upset or feel bad so she is constantly giving something up for someone else or doing something for someone. It is a wonderful quality but sometimes I worry people will take advantage of it. Courtney is tall like her Dad with beautiful big blue eyes. She is going to be in the 8th grade and is very excited. She is in the beginning of the "teenage drama years" She's always "hanging out" or strolling the mall with friends. She has quite a few friends who are all very different. At school she is part of the "goodie goodie group" which I LOVE. She is very sure of herself and her testimony and doesn't have any trouble standing up for what she knows is right. Court is a very talented artist and loves to draw and create things. Court also plays the piano and the trombone. She is VERY good at the trombone. She tried out for and made the Jazz Band at school. She was the only girl trombone player and also the only 7th grader to make the band. She played a solo with Grandpa Lauritzen that Dave played his senior year. They both thought that was pretty cool.

Dayna is 9 and heading into the fourth grade. Dayna is my blonde fair skinned little one. Dayna loves to sing and dance and is very active. Sports seem to come naturally to Dayna and she excels at whatever she tries. Dayna is quite creative and likes to do crafts and make things. She still loves barbies and can entertain herself for hours. Dayna takes piano lessons and has done really well skipping several levels last year. Dayna is a bit of a diva and brings some drama with her. She likes to know what is going on and why it is happening and what it all means. Dayna auditioned for Oliver last year and was cast as an orphan. She had two small solos and got to sing and dance. She absolutely loved participating in this and can't wait until she can try out for another play.

Austin is a mini Dave. I am not exaggerating at all. Not only is he the spitting image of him but his mannerisms, remarks and attitude are all Dave. Sometimes it freaks me out a little when he gives me a look just like his dad. He is pretty handsome though and I think he probably gets away with way more than he should just because he is so darn cute. AJ does really well in school. He seems to grasp the concepts very quickly and has advanced fast. His teacher tells me he is the class clown always having something to say for everything. He keeps us laughing at home all the time as well. Austin is currently into skateboarding and playing the Wii. He pretty much entertains himself and doesn't ever really cause any trouble. He is currently in gymnastics and also takes capoeria from Aaron Lauritzen.

Oh my gosh! (And I mean that in the best way) Dave and Tricia are still alive!! I can't believe how big the kids are getting. Hope you all get to get together while my kids are up there. Tric, you're gonna fall in love with Cassie. She's just so goofy!

Hey! Everyone but Mom has done this one. This is a good thing! Mom, where is your book of children?

For everyone's information, if you weren't already aware, Dayna's participation in the production of "Oliver" was at Rampart High, under the direction of Miss Maykowski.
