Idea

Hi everyone,
I'm just wondering if everyone would rather come here. It's more central, I have three beds and David has 3 and I have several queen sized mattresses. We could see about Wonderland Ranch for Daytime activities. We could set up tents in the back yard for the kids and I'm thinking it would be lots cheaper. Lawsons did one here and had lots of fun activities. They even had a great race all over the Springs and even further that sounded fun.
We could even have a night fishing experience for those who would like that. Wonderland ranch has a fishing pond, amplitheater, petting zoo I think, and areas to cook and eat. It would be much easier for the ones in the east who don't have lots of money for gas and things. I think we could make it work.

Love Mom

(Please COMMENT and leave your opinion. And by opinion I mean just what you would rather do)

I think it's a great idea. There are a lot of things to do out there! I'm all for it.

Sounds good to me. I am open to anywhere, and almost any time, just so long as we all get together!

I feel bad for Nickell putting all the effort into planning the ranch in Idaho, but not so bad that I would rather go there. I would rather go home any day. Sorry, Nickell. We can still play badminton. Maybe we can talk Dave into s'mores around his outdoor fireplace!!!

actually nickell and I were bouncing this around earlier and I kind of talked her out of it (sorry nickell, it looks like you were right) :) I was worried about everybody being in tight quarters. If we could find housing for most of the people, i think it would be okay because lodging in the springs is pricey... everything in the springs is pricey :) but it'll come out to about the same if we can get the housing issue down

I prefer Colorado if spouses' opinions count

Spouses opinions definitely count. And don't feel bad about changing it. I love Colorado and Aaron has never been there! We are all for it too! It will be a big cost saver too. This way people only need to do the monthly savings account deposit and then their traveling and not worry about the cost of lodging!!

Will Mindy even be able to come if we are that far away from her? I say we keep the original plan and if people want to extend their vacation at Mom's after then we just follow them home. Besides, don't we want to be somewhere that doesn't have a TV????

HA HA HA I love Amy! Doesn't matter to me. Hey Nickell let's do this in Utah and use Todd and Janet's cabin

I would put you in charge of asking for that then, and will there be enough room for everyone in there?

Plus the TV thing does bring up a good point.

We've got two extra qeen beds, one full, a day bed and a fouton plus a big great room for sleeping bags. Travel for me is hard so of course here is easier and more cost effective. I could do Utah that is only 8 hours. Of course, if it stays in Idaho I'll just load up on Morphine

I remember at Uncle Matt's wedding, we had almost everyone there, and I dont really remember anyone watching tv except the kids before bedtime. I think with all the catching up, not many people are going to watch tv... I hope. We could just unplug them all until the shindig is done

I want you all to imagine us together for the first time in ....how many years? SLEEP IS NOT AN OPTION!!! so who needs beds :) Crisis averted! Everyone at Grandpa's and Grandma's house maybe a pillow or 2 for the small children that fall asleep spontaneously the rest of us will just laugh all night at Mark playing games with Oreo's! Man I should do this problem solving thing for a living, I'm good at it!

Colorado is fine for us! We can travel just as easily (or uneasily) as anyone. I didn't know you were considering Idaho just for our benefit. I like the idea of not paying for housing/ camping. I'm for it too.

Well, I'm game too! Time to start all over girls. Sorry. Looks like Mindy might be in Samoa and Amy will be in San Antonio by then. I guess we'll just do the best we can and hope for some help from above!!

We probably won't be in Samoa. It's a nice dream, and we will try, but apparently that externship is a very popular one that lots of people try to get. Can't figure out why!
