Proposal...

I am going to make a proposal, and I know it is out there but I have to try. Jeny, you are volunteering your house for this just so you know. 2010 Christmas at Jeny's? That is almost 2 years away so there is time to save and make arrangements? We might even be able to do it at mom's if they are ok with that and it might be easier for everyone. I don't know. Anyway, what do you think? There are a lot of my family members I haven't met. I also know that mom would love this more than we can all imagine....

Not everyone is going to be able to make it for Thanksgiving though. I am planning on Thanksgiving!

Well, even though I haven't advertised much, there was some talk about a family reunion in the summer of 2010. Now I know Jason P. won't be finished with his residency yet, and Jason B. won't have finished law school -- but honestly, if we wait for a "good" time for everyone it will never happen. My idea was to go to the May Ranch in Idaho [this way we can all be together in a little more spread out kind of way -- you may not know, Nickell, but the Barry Lauritzen kids and spouses are a bunch of tactless hacks and sensitive babies every one of us!!]

The summer of 2010 might work for us. Jason may be busy, but he can request SOME days off, and if we're in Idaho, we can visit his family, too. If we plan this far in advance, we can make it work. Christmas will never work for us. Jason will always have to work some hours there.

Let me know when and we will make it work!

I vote for summer as well. Christmas is a hard time to travel. Scary roads. But we'll do it if that's what is decided!

How do we tell who originally posted a comment. I can always tell who responds but sometimes I can't figure out who started it!

I am opened to any time, any place. We will make it work, and can be very flexible. All of you are always welcomed in my home so feel free to volunteer it anytime. I would just love to get together!
