Between Kristi and Dad

The most interesting part of this whole thing is that they said on the news that more people in la county voted yesterday than there are registered voters in 41 other states. That is an amazing number of people!

Here is a good website that has an interactive map. You can roll your mouse over each county to see how the vote went in that county. http://www.latimes.com/news/local/politics/cal/la-2008election-california-results,0,1293859.htmlstory?view=8&tab=0&fnum=0

Victory this time

Hallelujah! But, would you like to bet that the fight has just begun. Wonder how long it will take the pro-gay people to file suit in the California Supreme Court -- a very liberal judicial body.

Love you and am very proud of your pro-active involvement.

Dad

Oh they have already said they would fight if they lost. Tyranny at its best! The government will continue to overthrow the will of the people as long as we allow it. All we can do is fight the good fight and pray for the best outcome then have the faith that the will of the Lord will be done. Because, like it or not, this is all part of God’s plan and the part we need to play in it is to keep ourselves and our families completely centered in the Gospel of Jesus Christ amidst the events that are to follow. We simply must stand, face the storm, declare the truth and be serene and steady in the doing of it. It is our right as citizens of this great country; it is our duty as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

And that is the reason we have taken such a pro-active involvement in this important fight.

Thank you, Kristi. I babysat for a friend yesterday while she went to vote. Today she posted a very pro-Obama post on her blog and explained how unfair it is for us to take away the rights of gays. She is the first counselor in our YW. I'm having a hard time being calm in the face of this storm, but after reading Dad's post and your's, I feel better. I'm very glad Prop 8 passed for now! I can only handle so much "change" at one time.
